Oxygen for reducing WWTP odors
The formation of odors in WWTPs (Waste Water Treatment Plants) is generally due to the presence of anaerobic zones, or to an insufficient capacity of oxygenation during the hot months.
Temperature
Increase oxygen OTR (Oxygen Transmission Rate) to overcome low O2 solubility during hot periods.
VOCs
Avoid VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) stripping by reduced stirring and biodegradation.
Wastewater odor is especially disruptive for treatment plants located in urban or touristic areas.
