Hydrogen for welding

Combustible and reducing gas.

Gas with multiple uses in the metal fabrication sector

It can be used as pure or mixed fuel gas, it is widely applied in welding processes mixed in small percentages to argon as protection gas for the TIG/MIG (Tungsten Inert Gas/Metal Inert Gas) process of austenitic and copper steels or in MAG (Metal Active Gas) welding of austenitic steels.

It also finds application in gas mixtures intended for root protection, but it is not compatible in processes with materials such as carbon steel and aluminum. Also used in plasma welding (always mixed) for the generation of the plasma itself, but also in the plasma cutting process in considerable percentages for cutting austenitic and high-alloy steels for high thicknesses.
