Oxidation

Oxygen offers an alternative to oxidation, which occurs with air or other chemical oxidants

With the improvement of catalysts and the development of new manufacturing methods, the use of oxygen in processes involving any oxidation reaction has expanded to a wide range of industrial processes. Oxygen can be produced:
1. By enriching the air.
2. By direct injection.

The use of oxygen is particularly suitable for the manufacture of the following products and processes:

  • Products Processes
  • Acetaldehyde Claus plants
  • Propylene oxide FCC
  • Vinyl chloride monomer extraction
  • Hydrogen peroxide Catalyst regeneration
  • Oxidation
  • Vinyl acetate Fermentation
  • Ethylene oxide Air enrichment
  • Titanium dioxide NOx reduction
  • Acrolein Fine chemical oxidations
  • Iron salts Metal production
  • Copper salts Glass production
  • Oxychlorides Combustion
  • Metal oxides
  • Soot
